If my business journey were only about those cranky boss moments, life would’ve been a breeze!
As it turns out, I picked up a few other nicknames along the way. “Captain Shits” was one of them (yep, that one stuck a little too long).
Then there were the better ones; “MacGyver” whenever I fixed the unfixable, “The Maister” when things ran smoothly, and even “Lara Croft” when I powered through impossible situations.
They were all part of the fun; little badges of honour earned in the chaos of running a business.
Every now and then I mention a cranky moment or two, because let’s be honest, running a business can drive even the calmest boss a little mad. Things break. People frustrate you. Technology rebels. And sometimes, all you can do is take a deep breath, mutter a few choice words, and keep going.
But here’s the truth; those cranky moments are where the magic happens. They build resilience. They sharpen your instincts. They remind you that quitting on a bad day, month, or even year isn’t the answer. Instead, you get back up, stronger, wiser, and (usually) a little less cranky.
Having a business partner helped lighten the load, too. Running your own business can be wild, but it’s also one of life’s most rewarding adventures. The key? Work smarter, not harder.
Because in the end, both the journey and the end goal make every cranky moment worth it.
Now, if you’re wondering how to avoid crankiness in business, I’ve got three golden rules: Unfortunately… I don’t remember any of them. 😅
So instead, explore the site, learn from my lessons (and mistakes), and maybe even laugh along the way. Below is your quick guide to everything you’ll find on Cranky Boss.
